Team Vitality vs Rogue

A clash of two extremely capable — and, perhaps above all, feisty — teams, both of which have all the right tools and weapons to compete at the highest of levels and etch their names in history. There's really no other way to describe this particular match-up, the likes of which are so alluring we cannot help but start watering at the mouth.

It's one of the most intriguing clashes in the entirety of the LEC and, needless to say, we cannot wait for these two teams to step foot on stage and give it their all! Who'll come out on top, however, is still a mystery. Rogue are, without a shadow of a doubt, the more versatile team, but they, too, have had their struggles over the last few weeks. They're not as precise or commanding as was the case back in Spring. They're not as cohesive which could, by all means, end up being a problem come postseason. Rogue's 10W-7L record is also quite telling: they've been winning more often than not but they aren't a well-rounded, consistent team by any stretch of the imagination. Much of the same can be said for Vitality as well, although they have their own bespoke problems too, the likes of which probably won't get solved in time for the postseason.

If things pan out as expected, Rogue *will* win and, in doing so, make one great step towards securing a Top 3 finish. Vitality, on the other hand, still haven't locked down a spot in the playoffs, and, needless to say, they're in dire need of a win here. If they beat Rogue, they'll erase all doubt and knock EXCEL out of contention for Top 6 — a 2-for-1 kind of deal. Still, beating Rogue is by no means a simple challenge and, frankly, we don't think they'll be able to do it. They always end up making an egregious mistake or two come mid or late game and it is at that point precisely that Rogue will capitalize and get away with the "W" — assuming they bring their "A game," of course.

In any case, it's worth the watch, that's for sure.
