Team Vitality vs Misfits

What an absolute barnburner in the making! This one match-up has all the hallmarks of a true spectacle, and if both teams bring their A game, we'll no doubt witness a fight for the ages!

Now, that last paragraph might seem a bit ludicrous, so let us explain. Misfits and Vitality are by no means top-tier behemoths, but they sure are playing some exceptional League of Legends right now. They're not perfect execution-wise, but whatever they might lack in depth and nuance they more than make up for in sheer bravado and mechanics. And boy has it been fun watching them compete over the last two days. They're fighting with so much zest and vigor, like two teams that truly want to make their 2021 season count. Their backs are against the wall and they don't mind one bit.

Heck, even if they fail to ultimately leave a mark they'll still give it their all, and that's worthy of respect and commendation.

Now, predicting the outcome of this one game is, in all fairness, nigh impossible. Neither of the two are particularly consistent, and you can never be too sure whether they'll get on the same page and deliver. At their best, they're oudoubtedly top-tier competitors. At their worst, though, they're tough to watch.

They lack refinement, which isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world given that we're still at the start of the split. The important thing, though, is that they're actually offsetting said deficiency through sheer willpower and surprisingly good teamfighting.

If both teams keep playing at this level, they'll no doubt be able to challenge for a spot in the playoffs. The fact that Rogue struggled so much against Vitality tells you all you need to know when it comes to their inherent talent and long-term potential. Whether they'll realize in time still remains to be seen, but the odds are definitely on their side.

Both teams have a shot at emerging victorious. Misfits have generally done more to earn our benefit of the doubt, but it's impossible not to board the Vitality hype train given just how slick they've been despite playing as a five-man unit for just a couple of weeks.

If you're looking for a safe bet you'd be wise to skip this one. If, however, you just want to see two teams of seemingly equal skill and potential duke it out on the Summoner's Rift, then this one is an absolute must watch!
