Team Vitality vs G2 Esports

This is where things get a whole lot more interesting and, frankly, chaotic. Predicting the outcome of this one game feels nigh impossible. Vitality, a team most folks had pegged as the biggest frontrunners to win the whole split, are currently 1W-3L, but they *have* stepped up ever so slightly and are now somewhat cohesive. They're still thoroughly out of sync and prone to making egregious blunders at basically every point of the game, but at least they're now capable of putting up a fight.

We're still wary of their ego-driven drafts and bravado-fuelled style of play as only Oskar "Selfmade" Boderek has been on point, with the rest of his team fumbling at the most random of moments. You can't "style" over your opponents when your mechanics are lacking and when you have no synergy whatsoever with the rest of your team. They have all the talent in the world on an individual level, but that matters very little as it cannot offset their lack of team-wide cohesion.

Still, once this team "clicks" -- and it's more a matter of "when" than "if" -- they'll mop the floor with the vast majority of their peers.

G2 haven't been perfect, but their 3W-1L record speaks volumes. They've done admirably well despite playing through COVID, and are currently amongst the best-performing teams in the LEC. Flawed, yes, but impressive nonetheless.

Who'll get the win here is nigh impossible to predict. Both teams have an equal shot, but G2 *have*, in all fairness, looked a fair bit better. They didn't make as many mistakes, their teamplay has been a lot more impressive, and their drafts were a lot easier to execute. That, however, doesn't mean they'll get the win. Vitality have ample experience and the fact that they've imploded to a certain degree should in no way affect or cloud our judgement -- they're still a competitive behemoth that can pack one heck of a punch, even though they certainly haven't looked like one over the last week and a half.

In the end, we cannot help but go with G2. They're being deemed an underdog here which, frankly, is quite perplexing. They might not be head and shoulders above Vitality, but they've nonetheless looked a lot better in all four of their outings, so the choice is clear on this one.
