Team SoloMid vs Immortals
Under "normal" conditions, we really wouldn't be betting on a precarious match-up like this one. It is veiled in uncertainty and is about as volatile as it gets. To put it as succinctly as possible: TSM and Immortals are, by the looks of it, two of the worst and least capable teams in the entirety of the North American region. And, well, that's probably not going to change all that much over the coming weeks.
They might end up higher than, say, Counter Logic Gaming or the Golden Guardians (although that, too, is a stretch), but their overall position within the LCS -- that being the position of a bottom-feeder -- almost certainly *isn't* going to change once everything is said and done.
TSM have been a bit more impressive thus far, but our sample size *is* beyond miniscule; one mustn't, therefore, take anything at face value. They could still improve and make waves or, conversely, continue being someone else's fodder. The same goes for Immortals as well, although their skill ceiling seems to be much, much lower than that of TSM's. They *do* have a few stellar players but overall they're nowhere near good enough to compete with the vast majority of their peers, all of whom seem to be more capable, in sync, and just flat-out talented.
Who'll come out on top is anyone's guess though. We're leaning more towards TSM FTX but the differences between them are negligible at best. They have the better players on paper but that doesn't necessarily have to result in a win. Regardless, they're favored here for a reason, so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that Maple and Co. will be able to deliver.
