Team Liquid vs CLG

On paper, this is pretty much a blow-out. In actuality, though, with CLG surging and Team Liquid playing with two subs — none of which are even remotely close to the players they've replaced -- it'll probably be a lot closer than anyone could've imagined coming into the second half of 2021.

Moreover, with CLG prioritizing hard engage team comps and champs like Vi, Galio, and Rakan, they might actually stand a chance at pulling off an upset tonight. It's not a big chance, mind you, but it exists nonetheless, so it's worth mentioning. Still, given the way Team Liquid performed yesterday against a surprisingly feisty Dignitas, it's fair to say they're not as bad as they might seem on paper. Jenkins and Armao are by no means a monumental top-side duo, but they're serviceable, so credit where credit is due.

Plus, one simply has to expect CoreJJ, Jensen, and even Tactical to step up and hard-carry harder than ever, now that there's so much on the line. CLG, on the other hand, have lost to Immortals yesterday — with the exact same team comp they've championed lately. And, frankly, they didn't look all that good either. So, we'll side with Team Liquid on this one and hope for the best!
