Team Liquid vs 100 Thieves

This one's never easy. As time went on, Team Liquid vs. 100 Thieves sort of became the new 'el clasico,' something akin to the TSM vs. Cloud9 one of yore. And, well, we couldn't be happier for that being the case! Both of these two teams have some of the most capable players the North American region has ever seen and they're all basically competing for the exact same spot in the standings. They're still not quite as good or cohesive to challenge for the LCS throne but they're not far off either. In a Best of 5 setting, Evil Geniuses are still a cut above, although that gap seems to be shrinking with each passing day.

And, well, who knows what'll happen and how things will shake out once the post-season comes around! In any case, this is undoubtedly one of the most exciting match-ups of the week and is by all means worth tuning in to!

Who'll come out on top, however, is anyone's guess — it could really go either way and, frankly, it most often does. These two teams take turns at beating each other, so it's basically impossible to discern and predict what'll happen in this particular instance. Team Liquid have a bit more momentum but we're talking nuances here — nothing that would actually end up making a difference.

In any case, we'll side with 100 Thieves as they always seem to find a way to best Team Liquid when it matters most. That's not necessarily always the case in Best of 1s but they *have* been a bit more clutch and for that they've earned our benefit of the doubt. With that being said, a win here is by no means guaranteed, so just keep that in mind.
