Team Dignitas vs Golden Guardians

Dignitas facing off against the Golden Guardians is pretty much the least interesting match of the day. There's just nothing overly exciting about it as it is, in a way, wholly one-sided. Well, if you're partial to Dignitas and their skirmish-heavy style of play, then you'll definitely enjoy this one. Otherwise, it's best to just turn off the stream and do something else.

Prediction-wise, Dignitas are favored -- something that should come as no surprise. They've been a lot more consistent, they have more tools to work with, along with the better players and more experience overall. Still, GGS are not to be trifled with. They're still a bottom-tier dweller, but they've been racking up wins in the most unexpected of ways. Their 2W-4L record thus far isn't anything to write home about, but it's still a respectable overall tally given whom they had to face and just how little hype and momentum they had coming into the second half of 2021.

If there's one doubt about Dignitas, it is the fact that they're scheduled to compete with their Academy mid laner instead of Soligo. Now, the gap in terms of skill and potential between these two is by no means immense, but Yusui has a lot less experience when compared to the man he replaced. As if that wasn't enough, he doesn't have a whole lot of synergy with the rest of his team either. These things are of the utmost importance, and without a well-coordinated mid laner, Dignitas probably won't be able to accomplish much in the grand scheme of things.

Be that as it may, they're still a solid challenger, one that has a wide range of tools and weapons to work with. They might not be all that consistent or threatening when compared to some of their top-tier peers, but they're definitely good enough to trade blows and have reached the Top 5 for a reason. We're going to give them our benefit of the doubt on this one, but it's probably going to be a lot closer than most folks expect!
