SK Gaming vs MAD Lions

This match has no business being as alluring as it is. It's a barnburner (or, conversely, a fiesta) just waiting to happen, and, needless to say, we can't wait to see it transpire! Everyone's obviously going to side with MAD Lions, but it might be a bit more competitive than the odds would suggest.

It goes without saying, but we were all blown away with MAD's performance yesterday. It was a spectacle, to put it succinctly, a showing that took us all by surprise. We knew they were going to pack a punch, but to outclass Vitality to such a degree, to play with such ease and cohesion this early on into the season bodes extremely well for their chances going forward. Every single member on the team carries his fair share of the weight, and it was an absolute joy to watch. Elyoya, in particular, has already given us an MVP-worthy performance, and if he keeps playing at this level he might even win that highly coveted award once all is said and done. We're at a loss for words here: they were *that* good.

SK, on the other hand, were a fair bit more out of sync and their play suffered as a result. Nothing out of the ordinary, of course, but it was pretty hard to watch at certain points. They're still not on the same page which, frankly, should come as no surprise. Still, they're feisty and have more than enough mechanical prowess and experience to keep competitive with most of their peers. They're not expected to accomplish much against a team as stacked as MAD, but they could, potentially, make it a lot closer than one would expect. It's no secret that Vitality botched their draft (to put it mildly). They basically gave MAD everything they wanted and were at a disadvantage from minute one as a result. Will SK make the same mistake? They very well could, but they'll probably learn from Vitality's mistakes and come out with a more conservative, easy-to-execute team comp. Something that is late game-focused and isn't too hard to play. That's always the best course of action whenever synergy is lacking, and SK would be wise to revert to comfort.

MAD Lions are all but guaranteed to win here -- to no one's surprise -- but the game itself might be a lot more entertaining than the odds would suggest, so definitely make sure to tune in!
