SK Gaming vs Astralis
This is quite a tricky game to bet on. We have two teams neither of which is particularly talented or capable. They're not abysmal by any stretch of the imagination but their flaws are many and most of them happen to be quite exploitable. We also ought to touch on their potential: there's not a lot of it.
SK have had numerous opportunities to make waves and leave some kind of a mark and yet they've failed each and every single time. A few good games here and there simply aren't enough. We wouldn't exactly label them as a bottom-feeder but they *are* amongst the least capable teams in Europe and it's been like that for years.
Astralis, on the other hand, have grown quite a bit, and it happened in the weirdest of ways, too: by bringing over a seasoned top-jungle duo along with a fairly anonymous support from South Korea. It doesn't sound like all that great of a plan but their 2W-1L record sure does say otherwise.
They've been... pretty okay. They had a few stellar plays but have also made numerous egregious mistakes as well. Their skill ceiling has increased quite a bit solely because of Vizicsacsi and Xerxe, although their pre-existing synergy with Kobbe also warrants a mention. All in all, we're happy with how much they've improved which is why we'll give them the benefit of the doubt against SK Gaming -- a decision that may or may not end up paying off.
