Royal Never Give Up vs G2 Esports

So, we're at a very strange point of the tournament. Both T1 and Royal Never Give Up have lost to the reigning LEC champions who, for some odd reason, then proceeded to lose to PSG Talon. The first two occurrences weren't *that* inexplicable, given G2's overall depth and ability to perform. That last twist, however, came out of nowhere. And, well, we're *still* struggling to fully comprehend it.

Granted, G2 were in the driver's seat for the vast majority of the game, but they *did* lose, and it *does* mean something. It wasn't a fluke -- they were beaten fair and square by a team that simply played better League of Legends on the day. We're generally okay with them dropping a game to PSG. It's by no means a cause for concern or a reason to sound the alarms, but it *does* skew our perception of them whilst also affecting our expectations. How will it affect their confidence? And will it, at all? They're a momentum-based team, one that thrives off of hype and the roar of the crowd, so it's impossible not to wonder whether they'll now regress ever so slightly -- a difference in self-assuredness that may prove to be vital.

Royal Never Give Up are still as capable as ever and are, without a doubt, an actual threat that stands in the way of G2 hoisting the MSI trophy. Their first loss to the LEC champions wasn't all that competitive which, naturally, came as quite a surprise. Was it just a bad stylistic match-up for RNG? Or, perhaps, an indication that they had met their equal and were ill-equipped for the task at hand? We can only theorize at this point and that makes betting on this particular game an absolute nightmare.

Both teams have what it takes to come out ahead and get the win. Generally speaking, we'd lean more towards the LPL representatives, but the odds on G2 *are* a lot more alluring. And, well, they already hold a win over the defending champions so if they could upset once, who's to say that they couldn't do it again? That one game means very little in the grand scheme of things, but it *is* something worth keeping in mind as it may have had far-reaching consequences, the likes of which we will only now fully comprehend.

We'll give them our benefit of the doubt once more and hope that they'll bounce back from their unexpected loss in the grandest of fashions. That being said, it'll surely be as close and competitive as humanly possible.
