Rogue vs Misfits

This is it, the point we've all been waiting for: now comes the real test for the very best teams in the LEC. Navigating a Best of 5 is not only exceedingly complicated but also mighty taxing as well. You can never really prepare for such a test beforehand -- there are too many variable as play. Naturally, the most experienced teams and players benefit of the most. A Best of 5 is a layered "structure" in which they can spread their wings and show off their vast abilities. Those who've never played through a five-game series, on other hand, will naturally find themselves at a disadvantage.

More often than not, this burden ends up being too much to handle, and so they crumble under its immense weight and pressure. And so we have to wonder: will Misfits be up to the task? Will their vast inexperience end up hindering their chances of leaving a mark? It almost certainly will, and history can also corroborate on such a statement. They've yet to experience what a five-game series entails. They're yet to feel its taxing, grueling nature. Rogue have had numerous Bo5 mishaps, we all know that, but they've persevered and have come out stronger. This particular version of Rogue is immensely talented and they're also mighty confident, too. They have more than enough experience to navigate (and overcome) the challenges ahead, and are rightfully deemed as the heavy favorites here.

They're not always on point nor are they infallible, but whenever they get on the same page (a fairly frequent occurrence, in all fairness) and execute to the best of their ability, there's but a couple of teams in the LEC that can keep up and trade blows. At their best, they're head and shoulders above Misfits, and their phenomenal win-loss tally serves as proof, too. Now, we don't expect them to clean sweep the boys in white and red, but a fairly commanding win almost certainly *is* in the cards. They're simply too good to lose at this early point of the postseason, and while Misfits *will* give them a run for their money, they should not be able to emerge victorious once all is said and done.

With that being said, a close, skirmish-heavy affair is all but guaranteed. These are some of the very best teams in all of Europe, so if you're a fan of top-tier play and some truly entertaining LoL, make sure to tune in and observe the spectacle!

For Misfits to stand a chance, they'll not only have to play through Vetheo but also create ample room *around* him so that he can truly thrive and maneuver. Shlatan *can* do this (to great effect, in fact), but they'll need to bring in Mersa as well; Trymbi is no stranger to roaming whenever there's an opening, and the only way for Misfits to succeed is to play Rogue's game, trade blows whenever possible, and then capitalize further down the line. The boys in blue seldom make mistakes, so they cannot count on punishing them through any late game openings and mishaps. A dominant early start (with a scaling team comp) will therefore be paramount. HiRit, too, will need to step up; he's been a bit too middling lately, and not at all as dominant and impactful as he was back in 2021. For Misfits to win, many things will need to go their way and, frankly, we just don't see it happening.
