Rogue vs G2 Esports

What'll happen and who'll come out on top is pretty much impossible for us to predict. There's really no way to know given just how close they really are, both in terms of talent and their ability to perform on the biggest stage in Europe. The ten players we're talking about here are so astonishingly capable, it boggles the mind, really. They are some of Europe's finest although they, too, still need a bit of time to develop synergy and really iron their kinks out. On a good they're unstoppable. On a bad one, however, they struggle with even the most basic things, so there's definitely a lot of work that needs to be done.

Their spots in the playoffs have already been secured so they don't have to tryhard *per se*. Still, we're pretty certain they'll come out the gates swinging like their lives depend on it -- they not only want to send a message but also to secure the absolute highest possible spot in the standings.

If Rogue happen to lose, they'd allow Fnatic to leapfrog them in the standings and that could, potentially, have huge implications for the forthcoming playoffs. The ball is in their court and the onus is on them to perform. G2, on the other hand, get to play spoiler which, frankly, is a position they'll surely savor and revel in. They have nothing to lose (or gain) and will surely play their hearts out just so that they can experience a bit of schadenfreude.

And, well, getting a win here would also serve as a boon to their confidence and give them even more momentum coming into those incredibly important Bo5s. They're a high variance team, too, which is why it's so vital for them to generate as much buzz as they can and, in doing so, give themselves the best possible shot at leaving a mark. There are many "killers" in the LEC these days, and they're not exactly on top of the food chain, if you will. They're not a pushover either, but they *have* lost a step, and we're not entirely sure whether they'll be able to reach the kind of form we expected them to be in at this point. They're experienced and mighty capable, but that might not be as important as it sounds -- Misfits pale in comparison experience-wise and yet they've wrecked house and are currently ranked *above* the former "kings." It's all about execution and that's precisely the area in which this team lacks in.

But we're getting too ahead of ourselves. We'll go with Rogue as they've been more consistent and have had higher highs compared to this brand new (and fairly volatile) version of G2. The gap, however, isn't all that big, so we'll definitely understand if you opt to go the opposite route on this one -- the most minute nuances will end up determining the outcome.
