Rogue vs G2 Esports

This is a spectacle in the making. Nothing more, nothing less. A fight between the best team in the LEC and the former "Kings of Europe": what's not to like? If there's one game this week you simply need to tune in to, it's definitely this one.

Prediction-wise, however, things aren't quite as simple or straight-forward. Far from it, in fact. Rogue are the obvious favorites here (for reasons that need no explaining), but G2 have, in all fairness, stepped up over the last few weeks. They're still inconsistent, mind you, but they have a much clearer identity and they've also improved individually as well. All in all, there's quite a lot to like; their 6W-2L record is also mighty impressive, especially when we factor in just how volatile they were at the very start of the split.

They've slowly become one of the best teams in Europe, and while that in itself isn't a surprise, the speed at which it happened definitely is. We knew they'd become a threat at some point, but the fact that they're playing such good League of Legends mere *weeks* into the competitive season bodes extremely well for their future.

Rogue, however, have been damn near perfect. Their absolute and utter dominance has taken everyone by surprise primarily because it seemingly came out of nowhere. We're still perplexed by their performance. How in the world are they *this* darn good even though they've lost both Inspired and Hans Sama? It makes no sense, really. A tremendous shoutout has to go to Malrang and Comp, two players who've not only filled in the void but have exceeded all expectations.

They're currently amongst the very best players in their respective roles, and they'll only get better and better as time goes on. Malrang, in particular, has blown our minds in the most unexpected of ways, and is arguably the best jungler in the LEC right now. And just writing such a sentence makes one feel... strange. This whole thing really came out of nowhere, but as far as surprises go, it's a definitely a positive one.

Betting against Rogue simply wouldn't make any sense at this point in time. They've dominated each and every single one of their opponents, and while G2 will no doubt push them to their limits, Rogue have nonetheless done more than enough to warrant our benefit of the doubt.
