Misfits vs Fnatic

This might not be the most exciting clash one can imagine, but it will nonetheless deliver if both teams come out the gates swinging -- and they almost surely will. Misfits know that an upset is, in fact, possible (if extremely unlikely). And even if they were to lose they still stand a lot to gain: experience, knowledge, and a better understanding of their own limits. So there's always a reason to tryhard against a top-tier team, no matter the odds.

Fnatic are, obviously, the favorites to emerge victorious, but it's probably not going to be as one-sided as the odds would imply. There's a lot of talent over in the Misfits camp, and it is being utilized fairly appropriately. They're still rough around the edge and prone to making egregious mistakes at the most random of moments, but all of these things are excusable for a line-up that is so young and inexperienced as a whole. Given the set-up and the overarching context, they've been pretty darn incredible. And their 3W-1L record tells the same tale as well. Their sole defeat came at the hands of Rogue who, in all fairness, are the second best if not *the* best team in Europe right now.

So credit where credit is due: they've done incredibly well given the circumstances. No one expected much from Misfits coming into 2022 and it's fair to say that they've exceeded even the most optimistic of prognoses.

Opposite them, however, stands Fnatic, a team of unparalleled strength and potential. They're everyone favorites to win the split and should, by all means, be able to deliver. They're not perfect either, but their individual prowess is so astoundingly great that it can easily offset any early game-related deficiencies. They've been playing some truly spectacular League of Legends, and if they stay the course they'll no doubt be able to etch their names in history.

Misfits are good, if not even great at times, but there's no way for them to trade blows with Fnatic and actually live to tell the tale. The gap between them is simply far too big. Misfits do have a puncher's chance. That needs to be mentioned. But the odds of them pulling off an upset are so slim they're not even worth talking about. No one's all too cohesive at this point time so this'll surely be a lot more competitive than one would expect, but Fnatic should, by all means, be the last ones standing once all is said and done.
