Evil Geniuses vs Immortals
After three truly exceptional match-ups, we have a clash of very little importance. We'll all tune in, mind you, but that's solely because of the incumbent champions Evil Geniuses. No one cares much for Immortals and, well, that's not going to change any time soon.
They've been pretty middling overall, and their play, while not necessarily abysmal, isn't going to get much better. They just don't have a whole lot of potential as a five-man unit and are currently on the same level as Dignitas and the Golden Guardians -- by which we mean a bottom-three team.
Evil Geniuses, on the other hand, have wrecked house last week and are bound to put on a show this time around as well. They're undoubtedly the number one team in North America and the fact that they're still as dominant as was the case back in Spring is simply astounding; they had the least amount of time to recuperate and adjust to the meta and yet they still somehow pulled it off.
We're blown away, is all.
And, needless to say, they'll probably put Immortals in the dirt in record time. They might be a bit sloppy (which is more than justified), but they're still head and shoulders better than their forthcoming opponents, and if they give Danny and Jojo enough agency, they'll no doubt be able to style over Immortals and improve to 4W-0L.
