Evil Geniuses vs CLG

Evil Geniuses taking on CLG might seem like a one-sided affair but it could, by all means, be a lot more competitive than expected. The fashion in which CLG dismantled Immortals left no one indifferent. And just writing such a sentence makes one feel... strange, as if we're all of a sudden inhabiting a different kind of timeline. No one thought they'd be as good and cohesive as they were, which means we can no longer consider them a bottom-dweller by default. Now, they're not going to be upending the LCS status quo any time soon but they'll nonetheless pack one heck of a punch -- as evidenced by their very first outing.

Just how good they really are still remains to be seen, but they've piqued our interest, and that's not something we expected from an organization that's been the laughing stock of the region for *years*. Evil Geniuses, however, beat the brakes off of Team Liquid and have made very few mistakes in what was undoubtedly the most anticipated match of the week. They've looked downright spectacular, and if they can keep playing at such a high level they could, by all means, give 100 Thieves a run for their money.

This clash might not seem all that enticing, but if CLG come out the gates swinging -- much like they did against Immortals -- they'll definitely stand a chance. Still, they're not better than Evil Geniuses nor do they have as much long-term potential. Heck, it's not even remotely close! So, we'll side with EG on this one and hope for the best. We know they have all the right tools to get the win; now all they have to do is show up an execute.
