DetonatioN Gaming vs T1

Covering lopsided beatdowns is only fun in the beginning. The gap between the best and worst teams at this year's MSI is *astronomical*. It boggles the mind, really. The current status quo is as top heavy as it has ever been, and, well, that isn't going to change any time soon. Upsets are still possible, of course, but only at the latter stages of the tournament.

Best of 1s might be inherently volatile, but that, too, is neutralized and offset when there's such a humongous discrepancy between those competing. T1 have looked about as clean and commanding as their peers from the LPL, and that's really saying something. Detonation FocusMe, while definitely talented, simply aren't good enough to rub shoulders with the winningest org in LoL history. They'll certainly try, but success will still elude them.

Regardless, it'll be a nice learning experience, one which they'll then be able to dissect and grow from. DFM is the de facto best organization over in the LJL, and there's not a doubt on our mind that they'll once again represent their region on the international stage come October. So, while a loss may be guaranteed, there's still something to "look forward" to.

The most painful experiences are the ones we learn most from.
