CLG vs Team Dignitas

Talk about an underwhelming opener! Counter Logic Gaming taking on Dignitas is a clash no one ever asked for, and a match-up that carries no real significance. We're talking about two gatekeepers here, neither of which is particularly capable or impressive.

Both teams had a couple of good moments last week, but they didn't really amount to anything of note. CLG's win over FlyQuest *was* impressive, but by no means was it a triumph worthy of the history books or an indication that greatness awaits them further down the line. Both teams are heavily flawed and are bound to finish in the bottom four once all is said and done.

Still, we'll definitely tune in, eager as ever, to see these young players trade blows on the Rift. They're hungry to prove their worth, and they want to make the world take notice. They lack the talent and the potential to truly leave a mark, but that doesn't mean they're not going to try. One could argue that CLG have a higher skill ceiling, but we're talking nuances here -- they're basically of the exact same power level with very pronounced strengths and weaknesses (the latter of which are far more abundant).

It's really hard to get excited here; these two teams don't have anything particularly impressive or alluring to "offer. They're not dreadful by any stretch of the imagination, but are nonetheless so flawed and limited potential-wise that it's hard to justify tuning in. Then again, if you're partial to fiestas and wholly chaotic games of League, it might be worth your while!
