CLG vs 100 Thieves

Yet another one-sided beatdown in the making; 100 Thieves are amongst the very best teams in the LCS, and they should, by all means, be able to beat Counter Logic Gaming without breaking a sweat. They're simply better across the board and have all the right tools which are necessary to outclass their opponents and get the "W" with ease. There's just no other way to put it.

We're talking about a clash between what can rightfully be deemed as the number one challenger and the ninth- or tenth-ranked team in North America — hardly anything worth writing home about. 100 Thieves have stringed seven wins in a row (spectacular, in every which way), with CLG dropping their last five. The gap between them is about as big as it gets.

Now, in all fairness, CLG did beat 100 Thieves to a pulp back when they first started playing their (surprisingly creative) all-in, heavy engage team comp (the one with Vi, Galio, and Rakan), but that strat no longer seems to be quite as potent or effective, seeing how the vast majority of their peers managed to adapt — hence the five-game losing streak. Counter Logic Gaming is still comprised of some mighty capable veterans so they should not be underestimated whatsoever, but 100 Thieves are still a cut above and should be able to prove it tonight as well.

All of that said, if Counter Logic Gaming come out the gates swinging — much like they did in the past — and manage to conjure up yet another cheesy team comp, they might be able to give 100 Thieves a run for their money. One mustn't forget that players like Broxah, Pobelter, WildTurtle and Smoothie have been around for what feels like an eternity. They have mental fortitude and experience in spades, so it's not like they're incapable of bouncing back. They have the motivation and the right tools for the job, so this might not be as big of a blowout as the odds would lead you to believe.
