While this is essentially a clash between two regional champions (LPL vs. LCL), there's quite a big gap between the two, as you can imagine. Top Esports are widely considered as one of the two biggest favorites to win the 2020 World Championship, and the Unicorns of Love are pretty much the definition of a dark horse -- and a noticeably flawed one, to boot!

Still, there's definitely a reason to tune in. Both teams love to skirmish, they have a metric ton of mechanical talent, and equally impressive champion pools. They often throw caution out the window and trade blows regardless if it's the good move to make or not. That's pretty much their M.O. and they're not going to change it any time soon. But even though we can make concrete parallels in terms of their strengths and styles of play, they still differ in nuanced, key ways. Firstly, Top Esports is an absolute behemoth when it comes to setting things up and executing to a tee. They're playing some of the best League of Legends in the world and are more than worthy of the hype they've been getting. To the uninitiated, their style of play might look chaotic or arbitrary, but in actuality, there's quite a lot of nuance and precision involved. They can navigate a hectic five-on-five teamfight with staggering ease, and they're all on the same page from start to finish. This alone allows them to fight with unparalleled fervor and grit. That's Top Esports in a nutshell.

The Unicorns of Love, on the other hand, are far better than some people give them credit for. They're flexible and fearless, two exceptional virtues that are still pretty rare, even at this level of play. But if they couldn't take FlyQuest down even though they essentially played 5v4, then there's no reason to believe in their miracle upset against Top Esports. They might overperform, they might punch above their weight class, but when push comes to shove, TES should definitely be able to eke out the win, regardless of how well they draft. There's simply too big of a discrepancy between these two line-ups, which is why the odds are so heavily stacked in TES' favor.

With all of that said, this could end up being one of the most entertaining games of the day, regardless of its outcome.
