Team Vitality vs exceL

This is a fairly fascinating game, although only if you're a fan of Excel Esports and their recent resurgence. If you're a fan of Vitality, then you'd best skip this one entirely.

Excel are coming in hot after giving Fnatic a run for their money yesterday. To say that it was an even clash would truly be an understatement. Things started off in the worst possible way for the former "kings of Europe" after a botched 2v1 dive on Expect. We saw two teams seemingly equal, throw down and trade heavy blows across the map. Heck, it was a far more exciting game than most expected, with Excel playing exceptionally well. Action-packed in every way, shape, and form.

It was an exciting thing, to see these underdogs and perennially undervalued players go blow for blow. We knew they were a solid, mid-tier team with a lot of potential, but no one expected them to already put on such a solid showing. Heck, they were ahead for almost the entire game. Well, at least up to a botched Baron attempt around the thirty-minute mark. Once that happened, Fnatic cleaned house and just pushed through mid for the win. Against a team of their caliber, a single mistake is all they need to capitalize, and Excel made an egregious one at that.

Vitality, on the other hand, failed to mount an offensive against Origen. It was their fifth loss, and if things pan out as expected, they'll finish the third week of LEC play without a win on the board. Depressive, to say the least. To be fair, they weren't abysmal yesterday, but they were simply not strong enough once the mid and later stages of the game came along. Individual mistakes, baffling decision-making and a lack of overall team cohesion eventually cost them the game. On the other hand, they definitely fought back against Origen far more than most expected. It should've been a one-sided shellacking and yet they actually made things somewhat competitive in the early game. Still, it's hard to say whether that was Vitality playing well, or Origen still reeling from their loss to G2 Esports.

We're going to side with Excel Esports on this one. It's impossible not to, after all. That said, Vitality are improving, and it's quite obvious as well. They're still nowhere near as good as they have to be to actually become a solid challenger, but they're far from a pushover. Despite this, the amount of talent and bravado that's present within Excel should be more than enough to get them the win.
