Team SoloMid vs Team Dignitas

We've lost hope for TSM and, well, we're not the only ones. They're — at best — a bottom two team in the North America. That's about as horrible as it gets and, based on all empirical evidence, their unenviable position in the LCS isn't going to change any time soon. Now, they could still get a few wins on the board, that's totally possible, but that's about as much as they can hope for.

The fact that they've embarrassed themselves isn't necessarily the biggest problem. What is, however, is that they've done so little to warrant any praise or hype -- we don't have any need *whatsoever* to tune in to their games and that, in short, is a position TSM has never really been in. Being bad isn't nearly as damaging as being uninteresting and unworthy of someone's attention. And they've yet to move the needle. It's actually astounding just how indifferent we feel whenever they take the stage. Some folks still tune in because of sheer schadenfreude, but watching a bottom-dweller struggle so darn much doesn't do it for us -- there's nothing to look forward to or enjoy.

Granted, they *have* stepped up a bit last week, but it was more of a whimper than a bang. We know they're a capable bunch, but their *individual* talent means nothing at all if they cannot get on the same page and play as a unit. They also don't have an identity, which is perhaps an even bigger issue: without a clear game plan in mind they're left to meander through the Rift and hope that somehow, someway things will work out in their favor. And yet they almost never do -- to absolutely no one's surprise.

Dignitas are also exceedingly flawed, but they've at least left *some* kind of a mark. They're a gatekeeper at heart and, well, we're more than okay with that -- it is a role devoid of any prestige, but is nonetheless of the utmost importance. They're better than TSM, although they're by no means the first team that comes to mind when someone says the word "consistency." They're volatile, exploitable, and they don't always manage to start off on the right foot. Their games are, therefore, always up in the air. With that said, they've at least been competitive with the rest of the league and are heavily favored here for a reason.
