Team SoloMid vs Golden Guardians

To close out the week, we have the Golden Guardians taking on TSM FTX. If you've just yawned know that you're not in the minority. Any match involving TSM sounds exceedingly boring. They are, quite literally, the worst team in NA. And, well, it's not even remotely close. They've done nothing to impress and are soon going to be eliminated from the playoffs run as well. Their first split of the season has been absolutely horrific and, by the looks of it, things aren't going to improve much going forward.

Now, we have to be fair: they *did* have a few good moments, and they could, in theory, grow and develop. It's improbable, but not impossible. Unless they're miracle workers, however, this hypothetical uptick isn't going to end up mattering as they're in too disadvantageous of a position.

GGS, on other hand, have been quite solid thus far. Heck, maybe even better than that. We knew they would do some damage, but they've synergized far quicker than we thought they would -- and they did so in a far shorter amount of time than most of their peers. They're still very much flawed, but you can already tell that they'll pose quite a problem to the upper echelon of the LCS. Now, they're not going to win those hugely important Bo5s, but if they keep this up they *will* make Top 6 and that in and of itself is already a respectable feat worthy of praise and celebration. They're much stronger than thee sum of their parts, and even players like Lost and Olleh -- undoubtedly the part of the roster which we doubted most -- have been playing out of their minds. GGS is *not* a competitive behemoth, but they *are* a well-rounded playoff contender, one that will trade blows and fight like there's no tomorrow; and, well, that's exactly what we hoped they'd be.

If everything goes according to plan, they'll trade blows early on and then kick things into high gear come mid game; eventually, they *will* overwhelm TSM FTX and improve to a fairly respectable 6-5 record.
