Team SoloMid vs CLG

Never before has this match-up -- a most historic one -- been *this* darn uninteresting. Oh, how the mighty have fallen! CLG has been a bottom-of-the-barrel team for many years now, but this is definitely a new and previously unexplored position for the boys in black and white; the most accomplished organization in NA's history is now nothing but a bottom-dweller -- what a mind-boggling twist, one that has surprised us all.

But that's what happens when you lose your marquee player and make a series of ill-advised roster changes. Bringing in Keaiduo and Shenyi wasn't the worst idea in the world, but neither signing has so far panned out and, well, they probably won't remain with the team for much longer. TSM is used to winning. That is the one thing they're known for, and when victory is seldom attained, huge sweeping changes are all but guaranteed to happen.

With just a single win on the board, they are one of the two least successful organizations in North America -- with the other one being Counter Logic Gaming. This rivalry is as old as time, but the only thing that unites them right *now* is absolute mediocrity. They've been dreadful almost each and every single time they've stepped foot on stage, and there's no chance whatsoever that that's going to change at any point of the split.

So, with that in mind, we really can't predict which of these two teams is better than the other. They're both horrible, but they can, at times, put up a fight. TSM have looked a fair bit better and more dangerous when compared to CLG, but we're talking nuances here -- nothing that's really worth talking about or dissecting in great detail. Yursan has also been an upgrade so we might as well give them the nod and observe the "spectacle".

Both teams have improved over the last few weeks, but these improvements have by no means been sweeping or overly impressive -- they're nuanced, but they can, in a way, matter. And, well, they sure as heck *will* matter now that they're going to face each other. They're both so flawed and inconsistent that it's nigh impossible to predict what'll happen and who'll come out on top.
