Team Liquid vs Golden Guardians
This'll be one of the most entertaining games of the day. It sounds crazy, we know, but we're absolutely certain of it after seeing just how feisty and creative GGS have been up to this point. They're already a playoff contender and while they do, in all fairness, have a thousand different flaws (all of which can easily be exploited by the best teams in North America) they're still a highly confident bunch and have earned our utmost respect.
Unfortunately, they're up against TL which, frankly, is the stiffest test we can image. This team has all the hallmarks of a bona fide giant, and they're not only destined to dethrone 100 Thieves and win the LCS, but even make a splash internationally as well. They have it all: experience, mechanical prowess, a deep and layered understanding of the game, and a bunch of players who are still at their peak. We don't get to see such tremendous superteams all that often, so make sure to tune in whenever you can -- there's a historic importance to all of this, especially if you're a fan of Western LoL and have been waiting for North America to leave a mark in some way, shape, or form.
No one's going to bet against them and that really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. They're a towering giant that can only be challenged by one or two more teams in the LCS. Heck, the fact that they're *this* darn good and dominant with their Academy support also speaks volumes. They can, at times, make a few blunders, but that's perfectly fine -- they, too, are building synergy and there's really no better moment to experiment and limit test than now.
GGS know they're the underdogs, but they prefer it that way -- it's a lot easier to perform when there aren't any expectations weighing on you. Unfortunately, they're up against the best team in NA, so a loss is all but guaranteed.
