Team Liquid vs FlyQuest

This isn't exactly what one would call a "barnburner", but it's actually not that bad either. Any time Team Liquid step foot on stage to compete, we have a reason to tune in and take notes. They're one of the biggest favorites to with the split and, if they play their cards right, they'll no doubt be able to make that dream a reality. There's so much potential under their banner it's really not even fair to the rest of the region.

FlyQuest, on the other hand, have been sort of hot and cold. They're good -- if not even great at times -- but they're just not consistent enough to leave any kind of a mark. To make things even worse, it seems that their best days are a thing of the past. They can still compete, mind you, but we've witnessed a most consistent regression, and it's hard to really give them any benefit of the doubt considering their current position in the LCS. They could still make playoffs, but the odds of it happening *are* waning by the minute. They play the role of a capable and yet heavily flawed gatekeeper, one that is as streaky and volatile as it gets. That's not the worst role a team can have, granted, but an enviable one it is not.

They're just not good enough to compete on even footing with the likes of Team Liquid — a fact that should really come as no surprise given the disparity in talent and experience. There's canyon of difference between them and it is a canyon that isn't going to get narrowed any time soon (or ever, really). Still, they'll make it fun, much like they always do. They'll try and play and fumble and fail, but at least they'll entertain us from start to finish. And that's worth something. If it were some other team maybe we'd be more willing to believe in their odds of pulling off the seemingly impossible, but Team Liquid are as stacked and capable as it gets, and betting *against* them at this point would not only be ill-advised but also flat-out ludicrous.
