Team Dignitas vs 100 Thieves

What goes up must eventually come down, and that is precisely the reality that Dignitas are experiencing right now. After generating a metric ton of hype throughout LCS Lock-In, the boys in black and yellow have slowly but surely regressed, and are now nothing but a fairly capable and yet tremendously flawed gatekeeper -- just as we thought they'd be. And, frankly, they have nothing to be ashamed of, even though this whole series of events does, in all fairness, leave a bitter taste in one's mouth.

They just haven't been as dangerous or effective, and that's mostly because of River, the former PCS champion and the one jungler whose play took us all by surprise. His debut on the LCS stage was absolutely tremendous, but he's been a complete non-factor for many weeks now. Not only is he no longer getting his team ahead in the early game, but his engages haven't been all that successful, either. He's still trying his hardest, but has been wholly unsuccessful in his efforts.

Much of the same can be said for Dignitas as a whole, a team that, while undoubtedly capable, seems to have shown all their cards. Heck, they were still better than we thought they'd be, so they definitely deserve a bit of credit on that front. They're currently on a four-game losing streak and there's nothing they'll be able to do against 100 Thieves, even though they, too, have dropped the ball on multiple occasions thus far.

Still, they will not go down without a fight, and if River, Blue, and Neo can once again step up and play their absolute best League of Legends (which we seriously doubt will happen), they might stand a chance. 100 Thieves are also struggling in a way, but they're still better in every conceivable fashion when compared to their upcoming opponents. Their loss to Cloud9 was quite hard to stomach so they're probably looking to make a statement and rebound in style.
