Splyce vs Fnatic

After the G2 vs. Misfits brawl we have another super exciting match and that is Splyce vs. Fnatic.

To begin with, Fnatic is entering 2018 with an almost unchanged roster. The only adjustment that they have made is in their support position - they have signed Hylissang from the Unicorns of Love. Now on paper this is a fantastic change that could highly benefit Fnatic in the long run.

Fnatic is still one of the best European teams at the moment, and with just a single change that is for the better - they shouldn't really skip a beat when the Spring Split begins. They already have the core synergy built-in, they already know each other's playstyles in and out and when every other team went through serious restructuring - that is a serious advantage.

That said, they aren't the most flexible team and when their somewhat one-dimensional playstyle fails they always revert to mechanical prowess and brute forcing which is the reason why they weren't able to grow as a team last year. Will that change with Hylissang as the main shotcaller? It very well might. Regardless, they have some of the best players in the region and they still have a lot of room to grow and to improve.

On the other hand we have an incredibly exciting Splyce lineup that has somewhat gone under the radar for most people that were focused on the G2 eSports roster shuffle. They signed arguably Top 3 players in every single position with Nisqy being the only uncertainty. The potential within this team is fantastic and paired with a promising new head coach in Peter Dun, they have the tools to eventually contest for a Top 3 spot for sure. The only player that remained from their previous roster is Kobbe who (even though Splyce had a pretty mediocre 2017 season) had fantastic stats, constantly knocking on the ADC pantheon which was Rekkles and Zven. He didn't have the same flashy plays, or the exciting pentakills but he performed admirably and is still a very young, talented player. With a veteran, playmaking support by his side in KaSing, the Splyce bottom lane should absolutely be a force to be reckoned with.

Essentially they are all players with a lot to prove that are looking for a fresh start.

This should by all means be an incredibly aggressive and exciting match. Betting on Fnatic is highly advisable, however don't be too surprised if Splyce manage to make it into a very close brawl.
