SK Telecom T1 vs ahq e-Sports Club

After seven days of grueling, high octane League of Legends action we are finally on the verge of the final day of the group stage. Things went through almost exactly as people expected, with only a couple of surprises here and there.

Group A, unlike other groups seems somewhat set in stone. That doesn't always seems to be the case of course, but it's tough imagining it panning out any different than it is right now.

SKT T1 looked mortal in their week 1 games. Their early games were shaky and fights out of sync. However it is their veteran experience and mental fortitude that allowed them to come back every single time. Even when they were at a 10k gold deficit, they managed to turn the tides with just a single mind-blowing engage in the midlane against Edward Gaming. It's tough preparing for them, as giving them just a small opening might be enough - much like Longzhu Gaming.

They almost never lose their lanes and with their resilience come late game, teams are left to wonder - what do we have to do to beat the greatest League of Legends team in existence?

Sadly for ahq e-Sports, they're certainly not the team to do it. They failed to show much in their first week, and other than their strong performance against EDG they lost all other games. To their credit, they fight with all of their might and keep games close - both in gold and objectives, however it is always a sloppy mid-game call or a badly executed teamfight that propels thing in the wrong direction.

Furthermore, with SKT holding their first spot close to the chest and LPL's Edward Gaming entering tomorrow's games with an abysmal 0-3 record, it will most likely be a fight between Cloud9 and ahq e-Sports for the second seed. Regardless of how well EDG might play tomorrow, they're set back too much with their awful start.

Ahq don't have the tools to take down SKT - barring any unexpected horrendous errors on SKT's part. That said, they have the potential to make this very competitive, however regardless of how well they start off or how big of a lead they might acquire in the early game - SKT always manages to find a way to win.

Tomorrow should be no exception.
