New York Excelsior vs Chengdu Hunters

Yet another one-sided beatdown in the making: New York Excelsior vs. Chengdu Hunters. This is definitely not a top-tier match-up, but if you're a fan of New York then you'll probably want to tune in to see them dominate and outclass Chengdu across the board.

It's somewhat hard gauging New York's current power level. Obviously, they're a top-tier team with a ton of talent but after seeing them drop the ball against Shanghai, it's impossible not to wonder just how good they really are. The fact that hero pools are ever-changing only further complicates things. Still, the fact that they lost to a team like Shanghai (who are obviously playing the best Overwatch of their lives) isn't that big of a tragedy at this point in time. New York might be a bit rusty, but they're still a behemoth and have all the right tools to compete with the very best. Plus, they went to five maps, so it really could've gone either way. Shanghai were better, but only barely so.

Chengdu, on the other hand, have been locked in the Pacific East perennial limbo and have been trading blows with other Chinese teams week after week. In this seemingly endless list of skirmishes, they've failed to do much and are rightfully considered as one of the worst and least capable teams in the entire Overwatch League. With just three wins and seven losses, they don't have much to look forward to. There's just no reason for optimism, and if things continue developing in such a fashion, they're bound to remain at the very bottom of the standings.

It's just hard to imagine any kind of scenario in which they compete with New York on equal footing. Because of this, we simply have to side with the Excelsior -- that's the only logical option.
