KT Rolster vs Gen.G esports

Those who are partial to truly competitive League of Legends, to even match-ups and regions stacked with talent, probably haven't been tuning in to the 2022 LCK Spring Split. And, well, it's hard to blame them: it's been the T1 show from the very beginning; everyone else pretty much pales in comparison. It's not even *remotely* close, in all fairness, and that's not exactly the kind of status quo that can generate any semblance of hype or momentum.

It's hard to get excited for a foregone conclusion. There's no mystery, no intrigue, when you already know who's going to win beforehand, and can even predict the fashion in which it'll all go down. Only two teams warrant a mention: T1 and Gen.G. But even though they're ranked right beside each other, there's still a world of difference between them. And, well, much of the same can be said for Gen.G and the rest of the league as well. They're simply way too good when compared to everyone else, but nowhere near good enough to truly stand a chance against T1, a team that is all but guaranteed to win the split and, in doing so, establish its dynasty (for what feels like the millionth time).

KT Rolster, on other hand, have been pretty middling but not necessarily abysmal. Their line-up is pretty darn good, although you probably wouldn't be able to tell based on their record alone -- 6W-10L doesn't really get one's blood pumping. For KT, this is "do or die." They *are* in sole possession of sixth place, but they're also tied (record-wise) with Kwangdong Freecs, a team that, while not necessarily better, has a much easier strength of schedule. It doesn't even matter, though, seeing how they're never going to leave much of a mark next to bona fide giants like T1 and Gen.G. DRX and DWG KIA deserve a mention, too, but they haven't been nearly as consistent, and that'll surely be reflected in their forthcoming playoff runs as well.

In any case, betting on Gen.G is not only advisable but, frankly, the *only* logical choice given the circumstances.
