Immortals vs Team Dignitas

Predicting who'll come out on top in this one feels nigh impossible. Dignitas, obviously, have a ton more hype than Immortals, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be able to get the win. Their phenomenal performance during Lock-In should definitely be taken with a bit of reserve -- they had played on an older patch and in a slightly different meta. Plus, there wasn't anything on the line so teams didn't really have that big of an incentive to tryhard.

So just because Dignitas did well *then* doesn't mean they'll do well *now*. These are mid-tier gatekeepers we're talking about: they often surge at the most random of moments. But at least they did *something* right and had made us take notice; Immortals didn't even get a single win on the board. They're a veteran line-up with more experience and talent than you can shake a stick at and yet it didn't matter whatsoever; they failed to get off the ground. At best, they were somewhat competitive. At worst, they were downright dreadful.

It was an absolute and utter debacle, and we simply cannot justify it given whom they have competing under their banner. Now, we're pretty sure that Immortals have fixed their most egregious flaws, but it's nonetheless hard to bet against Dignitas after all that they've done. Their dominant wins over 100 Thieves don't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but they *are* an indication that Dignitas have what it takes to compete for a spot in the playoffs and, potentially, pull off an upset or two. They're not going to etch their names in history, but they *will* make things a lot more competitive than most folks expect.
