Immortals vs FlyQuest

To close out the day we have a rather peculiar match-up, one that is, in all fairness, somewhat underwhelming in nature. The reason why is quite simple: there's nothing on the line. Well, at least not for Immortals. FlyQuest still haven't locked in their playoff spot although they're definitely expected to do so in the very near future. That being said, they, too, want to secure as high a seeding as they possibly can, and they've been dropping games a bit more than they'd like. This particular clash, therefore, is of the utmost importance — it is a way for them to stem the bleeding, so to speak, and to finally make some kind of a statement.

They're a very capable team but they haven't always been able to impose their own playstyle and mount an offensive. They've also had incredibly high highs and some truly abysmal lows, so one never knows what'll happen once they take the stage to compete — they'll either put on a masterclass or collapse trying. Unfortunately, they can no longer afford the latter if they want to make playoffs and actually stand a chance against the LCS pantheon. They have every reason to tryhard here and they know it, too. Whether that's enough for them to put their best foot forward and deliver still remains to be seen, but we're optimistic.

Immortals always put up a fight, but that, too, will probably change now that they've been bested and outclassed by basically all of their peers. Their run thus far has been quite embarrassing and they know it, too. They've been pretty bad across the board and a few stellar games (and we really do mean "few") are by no means enough for us to hype them up or give them any kind of benefit of the doubt. They're a bottom-feeder and there's no two ways about it.

If FlyQuest play their own game and give their most important carries enough agency they should definitely be able to get the win and improve to 9-8. The onus is on them to perform and the reward is both obvious *and* incredibly important: a spot in the playoffs.
