Immortals vs Evil Geniuses
Immortals' loss to TSM FTX was quite painful to watch, but they were at least in the driver's seat for the vast majority of the game. They were quick to react, both in the pick and ban phase but also in game as well, and were just flat out the better team for 95% of the contest. Those last 5%, however, ended up making a far bigger difference than any of us expected -- their few fumbles were more than enough for TSM FTX to turn the tides and basically seal the deal after one botched teamfight from Immortals.
We all hate the enchanter top strat that's currently in vogue, but at least it's going away in a week or two's time, so there's definitely a light at the end of the tunnel. Immortals did pretty darn well given the circumstances, and they *have* improved a fair bit ever since dropping the ball in the most unexpected of ways back in LCS Lock In. They're still pretty bad all things considered, but at least they've made waves with their win over 100 Thieves and have shown that they're not to be underestimated.
Unfortunately, they're now going up against a spectacular line-up that has both immense experience but also some of the most promising young talent the LCS has seen in years. They're the better team and will surely get their hands raised.
