Golden Guardians vs Team Liquid

Next up, we have Team Liquid versus Golden Guardians. For all intents and purposes, this is as far from a premier match-up as you can get, and yet there's still a reason to tune in — as is so often the case whenever the former four-time LCS champions are scheduled to compete. Simply put, they're a blast to watch, and that holds true regardless of whom they're playing against. That said, their road thus far hasn't exactly been all that impressive. Sure, they started off incredibly well — after winning the first-ever LCS Lock-In tournament with relative ease — but their play from that point onwards left a lot to be desired. Sometimes they'll just spawn on the Rift and start dominating beyond measure. Other times, however, they look like an out-of-sync bottom tier dweller, and there's very little rhyme or reason behind what's going on. Heck, it's not tied to their opponents either. It seems that TL fumbles and fails because of their own inherent flaws which, to be fair, is the best-case scenario. It's not like they've been getting outplayed or anything — they're just making egregious mistakes at the worst possible moments in-game and are getting punished by teams that are obviously worse than they are, despite the final outcome suggesting otherwise.

We know what they're capable of, and these few losses which they've accrued recently are nothing else but a momentary deviation — one that is all but guaranteed to be fixed in record time. Fortunately for TL, they're scheduled to face the Golden Guardians next which is a relatively easy win. GGS won't just roll over and surrender, but they're nowhere near as good as Team Liquid. And, frankly, the former LCS champs need to put on a very dominant performance if they want to regain a bit of their momentum. If they draft to their strengths and execute even remotely well, they shouldn't have too big of a problem in taking GGS down!
