Golden Guardians vs CLG
This is never an easy position to be in: predicting the outcome of a game that, frankly, carries no real significance. The fact that it's a match-up between two gatekeepers (at best) only makes it ever more challenging.
Both teams are 0W-2L and have done very little to warrant any praise. Granted, they had a very complicated strength of schedule, but point still stands. GGS did, however, look ever so slightly better in their losses, crushing though they were. They were proactive and were constantly on the offensive, looking to make a play and snowball (or, conversely, claw themselves out of the jaws of defeat). We're talking about two very respectable showings here, and the way things eventually panned out changes very little in that regard -- GGS have shown promise, and that's the only thing we were looking for.
Who'll come out on top here is impossible to predict. CLG, while heavily flawed, are still a capable bunch and they've shown it throughout Lock-In as well. If they draft well (i.e. go for comfort and something that's easy to execute) they could definitely make this incredibly competitive, if not even get away with the win. Neither team should be overly favored here as it really is a toss-up. We're going with GGS as they've shown more aggression in their play, but that doesn't mean they'll deliver on the spot and emerge victorious. Their veteran presence should, however, come in clutch, which is something that Counter Logic Gaming's line-up so severely lacks.
This'll be a game of inches, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Don't, however, expect clean or commanding League of Legends as neither of these two line-ups have what it takes to deliver.
