G2 Esports vs Origen

Finally, to close out the day, we have an absolute banger: G2 Esports vs. Origen. While this is every inch a marquee match-up, it's not as hype as it often is primarily because both teams have underperformed over the last couple of weeks. They just aren't as good right now for a wide variety of reasons.

G2 Esports are once against slacking off whenever possible, preserving their energy for the playoffs and those oh-so-important Best of 5s. They're also once again acclimating to having Caps in the mid lane and Perkz in bottom. These are huge changes that heavily impact the team's style of play, and even though they have experience with such a set-up, it's not always a plug and play kind of thing. Origen, on the other hand, are heavily flawed and their biggest issues (lack of aggressiveness, primarily) are starting to catch up. They're not adept enough at the current meta and a good chunk of their roster isn't performing up to expectations either. Destiny was arguably their biggest offender, but he'll now warm the bench in favor of Jactroll, of Team Vitality fame. This change, while certainly necessary, isn't all that great nor does it make much sense in the grand scheme of things. His style of play is completely different to that of Origen's, and even if he performs out of his mind they'll still face an uphill battle against a team of G2's caliber. Nukeduck has been a complete non-factor, and Xerxe hasn't been particularly dominant either. Alphari and Upset are dominating beyond reason, but they cannot do it alone.

They'll have their hands full against the reigning, defending LEC champions, and even if G2 doesn't come out the gates swinging, they're still favored to get the win and with good reason. They're the best and most talented team Europe ever fostered and have mopped the floor with Origen every time it mattered. They might not be as clean or commanding as they were in the past, but they're still well-equipped to get the win over Origen and start building a bit of hype and momentum en route to the playoffs.

All of that said, seeing how both teams are underperforming quite a bit, expect absolute chaos from start to finish.
