G2 Esports vs Hong Kong Attitude

For our second match of the day we have a rather straight-forward clash between the LEC champions G2 Esports and the third LMS representative Hong Kong Attitude. Now, this isn't exactly the most exciting clash in the world, but it should be an entertaining one regardless.

On one hand, we have the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational champions from Europe. On the other, an underdog that no one's giving much respect to. Despite their differing narratives and amounts of momentum, both of these challengers love to skirmish and to fight from the very get-go. The first time they faced off, it was Hong Kong Attitude who was able to dictate the pace of the game. Whether that was just a moment of brilliance or G2 slacking off doesn't matter. What does matter, is the fact that the LMS representative has the right tools in order to compete at this level of play.

They might not be able to get the win, but they're going to be competitive nonetheless. Which brings us to today. G2 Esports is pretty much guaranteed to advance into the Knockout Stage, whereas HKA's abysmal 0W-3L record guarantees them the opposite. That, in turn, means they have nothing to lose. As a result, they're going to play without pressure and without anything to lose, so expect an aggressive, "in your face" kind of HKA.

By the same token, G2 Esports want to lock down the number one spot in their group, and a win here would bring them one step closer to such a goal. They know what's at stake and they're going to throw heavy punches straight out the gates. In the end, we simply have to side with G2 Esports. It's the only logical choice at this point in time. That said, they might also slack off in patented G2 fashion, so expect a somewhat competitive affair.
