G2 Esports vs exceL

Whenever G2 Esports faces off with someone, odds are, it's going to be a one-sided shellacking. This time around, they're up against the second/third worst team in the LEC, so, frankly, there's no reason to get excited. Still, whenever G2 comes to play, one could argue that it's always a must watch as they tend to bring their A game and surprise us in the strangest of ways.

This game should be no exception.

By all standards, Excel Esports is one of the worst and least capable teams in the entire region. But despite their inherent weaknesses and lack of long-term potential, they're fighting their hearts out and are even capable of producing a couple of respectable (if not impressive) plays. They're solid mechanically and know they have nothing to lose which, in turn, makes them quite a dangerous opponent if underestimated. Their win over Vitality yesterday wasn't a good showing, especially when we factor in just how badly Vitality played from start to finish. Still, a win is a win, and they'll take it.

G2 Esports, on the other hand, held an absolute masterclass against Misfits Gaming with vintage Caps making an appearance. It was an exquisite showing from the best and most capable team Europe ever fostered, and if they replicate even a glimmer of that same performance today, we should be in for one heck of a ride. Then again, they tend to slack off and fool around whenever they have a lead, so they might go for off-the-wall team comps and test their limits. No one's quite sure what they'll do, which is one of the biggest reasons why they have so many fans and admirers.

In any case, betting against them at this point in time doesn't make much sense.
