FlyQuest vs Golden Guardians

Frankly speaking, it's easy to understand if you're not especially hyped about this particular match-up. After all, FlyQuest vs. Golden Guardians doesn't really get the blood pumping. It might be a harsh way of phrasing things, but it is by no means incorrect. Still, there's definitely a reason to tune in — what they lack in sheer name value, they more than make up for in determination and grit, so an entertaining, skirmish-heavy affair is all but guaranteed!

Plus, FlyQuest have all the hallmarks of an eventual playoff contender, so it's not like they're some random bottom-tier dweller, despite playing some pretty bad League of Legends lately. Simply put, they're struggling to find their footing. Whether that'll change any time soon still remains to be seen, but there's a reason for optimism. They might not be all that cohesive right now, but we've seen glimpses of greatness, especially early on. They're flexible, mechanically gifted, and have all the tools they need to eventually reach Top 6. They do, however, have to step up, and they need to do it soon. We're at the halfway point of the split, and each and every game going forward matters immensely. They simply cannot afford to lose any longer, especially not against teams they're directly competing with -- like the Golden Guardians. We can, therefore, expect to see FlyQuest on their best behaviour. That means they'll give Licorice as much agency as he wants, put Johnsun on a champion that provides a bit of late game insurance, and get Diamond on a support that can engage whenever FlyQuest needs. They know what they have to do in order to take GGS down, and it's not an overly complex formula either -- they just have to go for tried and true team comps which are easy to execute and leave the "fancy" stuff to competitive giants like Team Liquid, Cloud9, and others.

The Golden Guardians are by no means a pushover, but they lack the experience and long-term potential that's present in a good number of their peers. They'll surely put up a fight, but certain members of their team (Niles, in particular) have been far too great a weakness throughout the last couple of weeks, and FlyQuest would do well to capitalize and punish right from the very get-go. It's all straight-forward from here, and barring any unforeseen circumstances or a twist for the ages, FlyQuest should definitely be able to get the win.
