FlyQuest vs CLG

This is a pretty important match for both teams, albeit for noticeably different reasons. FlyQuest, for one, didn't really impress us all that much during the most recent LCS Lock-In. What first began as a disastrous showing was eventually salvaged with them attaining a .500 record. Unfortunately, their good plays (which were few in number) didn't really result in anything of note. They were pretty out of sync and their individual performances left a lot to be desired as well.

Labelling them as a gatekeeper *would* be appropriate, if a bit unfair seeing how they still have so many games left to play. But we just can't imagine them ever leaving a mark. Johnsun and Aprhomoo have been quite stellar, but Kumo and Josedeodo have been anything but. They're not abysmal, but they still pale in comparison to basically all of their peers and adversaries. In other words: FlyQuest's skill ceiling is quite low, and they won't be able to exceed it without making at least two changes to their starting line-up.

Counter Logic Gaming, on the other hand, have a metric ton of hype behind their backs after nearly taking down Cloud9 in the Lock-In quarterfinals. Their games have been incredibly impressive, and that fact is made all the more pronounced once you factor in just how inexperienced and young they really are. Their best days are yet to come, and if they draft well and give the right players ample agency, they should definitely be able to take down FlyQuest and start the Spring Split off with a win.

It won't come easy, though, and they are by no means guaranteed to win. If their Lock-In performances are anything to go by, they're definitely a lot more cohesive than FlyQuest, but they, too, are fallible and prone to making egregious mistakes. We simply don't know what'll happen and which of these two teams will come out the gates swinging. With that being said, the boys in black and blue *have* earned our trust; we just hope they won't squander it in their very first game. It's unlikely, but one can never be too certain with Counter Logic Gaming.
