Florida Mayhem vs Atlanta Reign

Florida Mayhem being the #2 pick for the May Melee meant they had 2nd pick of the opponents in the quarter finals behind San Francisco Shock. After Shock picked Fuel many would have expected Mayhem to choose either the Gladiators or a Paris side that squeezed past Boston. But the Mayhem went with the Atlanta Reign and I think that this choice could backfire.

Atlanta Reign beat Florida 3-0 only a few weeks back and despite a disparity in the regular season records of 5-5 and 7-4 respectively; Atlanta have had far and away the tougher schedule as Florida have only really beaten the bottom teams in the league with the exception of Paris Eternal.

There are a few key matchups where I think the teams will be even like Florida's projectile player Yaki versus Atlanta's Edison but where I think this game will be won for Atlanta is their main tank Gator who should have a bigger impact than Karayan or Fate whilst Babybay should easily dominate the hitscan duel with BQB. If Florida opt into running Sayaplayer and restrict their flexibility they may be able to match them in that department but Atlanta should still win.

Atlanta should take this 3-1 so the handicap -1.5 could be a lot of value whilst some bookies are offering 11/2 on 3-0 which could be the pick.
