Evil Geniuses vs FlyQuest

Yet another endlessly complicated match-up, one that'll surely yield fireworks *and* a boatload of entertainment. We just hope that an upset isn't in the cards, as that would not only throw a wrench in our plans but also create an inordinate amount of chaos in regards to the LCS playoff picture and the overall standings. That might *sound* fun from a spectator's point of view, but it will not benefit us whatsoever.

Still, it's an interesting time to be an LCS fan. We have two, both of which happened to be severely flawed but also mighty capable. On a good day they're quite formidable, if not even great. On a bad one, they can hardly accomplish anything worthwhile. And so you're never really sure of what'll happen and who'll eventually get their "hand raised." There's no way to predict these things, and it's also fair to say that neither EG nor FLY have found their footing, even though they've had more than enough time to do so. They're still tend to "slip" from time to time. And, well, some of these "infractions" have been more egregious than others.

In any case, both line-ups can tango with the very best teams in the LCS whenever the "stars align," and even though their surges and moments of brilliance cannot be predicted (nor counted upon), they've still done more than enough to warrant our respect and admiration. We have to give EG the edge here, but just because they have the better players and the higher skill ceiling doesn't mean they'll be able to get the job done -- it wouldn't be the first time for them to drop the ball, and that's definitely something you should keep in mind if you're looking to bet on this particular game. They're separated by excruciatingly slim margins, which means that a fiesta-like affair — one defined by non-stop skirmishing and the most ming-blowing of teamfights — is basically guaranteed.
