Dallas Fuel vs Los Angeles Gladiators

Oh what an absolute spectacle! Dallas Fuel going up against the Los Angeles Gladiators is what dreams are made of! These two are some of the very best and most capable teams in the entirety of the Overwatch League! They're not without fault, mind you, but are nonetheless amongst the most talented and worthy of mentioning.

That, however, is also a problem for those looking to put their money on the line. They're seemingly equal in terms of ability and long-term potential, and the sample size that's currently at our disposal is neither particularly vast nor all that usable.

Both teams are 1W-1L, and both of them have had tremendous highs and some fairly baffling lows. The Dallas Fuel failed to best the Houston Outlaws in the Texan "el clasico" but were then quick to rebound with a swift 3-0 showing against the Washington Justice. The Los Angeles Gladiators, on the other hand, started off beautifully with a slick 3-1 win over the New York Excelsior before styling over the Boston Uprising just two days later. They have the better record at this point in time, but we're still not certain whether they're the better team, too.

That's the main problem we all face at this point in time. There's no safe or otherwise logical way for us to predict what'll happen and how things will shake out once *any* two teams take the stage and start trading blows. The game itself has been changed tremendously, and it's still way too early to make any kind of sweeping statement as to who's better than whom.

Be that as it may, the odds on LAG are simply too good to pass up. This is a hindsight 20/20 kind of match-up, so whichever way you go there's a very real chance you'll end up being disappointed. Regardless, 2.50 on LAG -- a team most folks deemed superior coming into the 2022 season -- is more than worth taking a "risk".
