Clutch Gamers vs SK Telecom T1

For our second match of the day we have a rather one-sided clash between the LCK champions SKT T1 and the North American third seed Clutch Gaming. To say that this is going to be a competitive affair would probably be a lie. It is a fight between what can rightfully deemed as the best team in the world (or at worst Top 2, behind G2 Esports) and a highly idiosyncratic (albeit deceptively dangerous) challenger from North America.

So far, SKT T1 has been able to outclass both Fnatic and Royal Never Give Up in one of the hardest groups in Worlds history. The fact that they won wasn't so surprising, but the fashion in which they got the job done was. They wasted no time whatsoever and were staggeringly dominant and in-sync from the very get-go. They dominated beyond measure, and for a moment it looked like the LCK era was back in action.

Clutch, on the other hand, failed to accomplish much over their first two games. In fact, they failed to accomplish anything at all. They lost to both Royal Never Give Up as well as Fnatic, and they were unable to mount much of an offensive in either game. They didn't play to their strengths, their carries couldn't pop off, and their drafts left a lot to be desired as well.

All in all, they failed across the board. Such a thing was expected, in a way, seeing how the competition stiffened quite a bit. They were no longer fighting against mid-tier North American teams, but instead against worldwide League of Legends giants. No one actually expected them to upset the status quo, but everyone hoped they would at least be somewhat competitive. After all, their unique playstyle should have given them a slight edge, at least in the early stages of the game.

Unfortunately that failed to be the case. Right now, they're quite obviously the worst and least capable team in their group, which means they're bound to get outclassed by SKT T1. They might be able to be somewhat competitive, but don't expect much from the North American underdogs -- they were dealt the worst possible hand.
