Cloud9 vs. Evil Geniuses -- an absolute barnburner in every sense of the word. Whenever these two teams step foot on stage to compete, there's a bevy of reasons to tune in. They're two of the most aggressive and commanding teams in the entire region and have looked downright amazing so far. That's not a big surprise when it comes to Cloud9, the reigning, defending LCS champions, but to see Evil Geniuses dominate to such a degree right from the very get-go is unexpected and surprising, to say the least.

The potential was always there, but it was natural to expect a playmaker-heavy line-up such as theirs to take things a bit slow and warm up, much like they did in Spring. That wasn't the case, however, as EG looked about as dominant and clean as they were back at the end of last split. They're currently riding high after dominating both of their opening matches and are considered to be a Top 3 team in the current LCS landscape. They didn't make any roster changes and finally have the exact same idea on how the game should be played and which avenues for success they need to take as a five-man unit. They've decided on an identity to call their own and watching them compete and impose their playstyle is an absolute pleasure.

Opposite them, however, we have none other than Cloud9 -- arguably the most dominant champion in LCS history. They're the team to beat, and no one came even close to accomplishing such a feat. They're insane in every sense of the word and can eke out advantages in ways no one ever thought were possible.

We're siding with the boys in black and blue on this one -- it's the only logical choice.
