Cloud9 vs 100 Thieves
This is about as good a match-up as it gets in the LCS and, needless to say, there's a ton on the line as well. Both teams have already secured their playoff spots so they'll be able to compete without any pressure *whatsoever*. That, in turn, means they'll surely start trading heavy blows right from the very get-go. A spectacle is pretty much guaranteed, so make sure to clear out your schedule and tune in — we're expecting fireworks from start to finish!
Who'll come out on top, however, is a lot harder to predict, if not even impossible. Cloud9 are favored (hardly a surprise), but they're not necessarily that much better than the defending champions. They *have* been a bit more consistent, but they, too, have had a few egregious blunders — one needn't look any further for proof than their game against TSM FTX. So we know they can "bleed," even though it so seldom happens. If TSM could get the job done, who's to say that 100 Thieves can't? They are, after all, so much better and more layered than the boys in black and white, so they shouldn't be counted out just yet.
Then again, Cloud9 are in first place for a reason. The fact that they've dropped the ball a few times in no way changes the fact that they're an absolute behemoth and that most of their players have been putting on masterclass after masterclass, pretty much on a weekly basis. They're incredible at what they do and a good number of them are also in the running for MVP: Summit, Blaber, and Berserker, too. They're not perfect, granted, but they make so few mistakes we might as well consider them flawless. 100 Thieves will surely push them to the very edge, but we're not so sure if they'll be able to get the "W" — their best players are not as good as Cloud9's, so our choice is clear on this one.
