Vici Gaming vs Team Secret

For our second match of the day we have an insanely interesting clash between one of the biggest European masters and one of the most frightening Chinese giants. Team Secret taking on Vici Gaming is definitely a must watch, regardless of your allegiance. Not only are these teams are playing on an incredible level, but they're also fighting to secure a spot in the Grand Finals of the Leipzig Major.

We’ve already seen them brawl against each other in the Group Stage, which result in a a clash that will long be remembered. So it is only natural to expect fireworks from the next one as well.

On the one side, we have Team Secret. A legendary European titan led by the one and only Puppey, a true veteran of the game who has fought alongside and also against many magnificent players over the years. With him in charge the rest of the team often has an upper hand right from the pick and ban phase. Their staggering hero pools and sheer flexibility are some of their biggest strengths -- some of many.

They’ve proven numerous times that they have all it takes to fight at the highest of levels. The last we've seen from them was a clean 2-0 shellacking against Alliance.

Alliance managed to stand their ground in the first game as they always had an answer to Secret’s offense. Once the mid game came around, however, they were quickly overwhelmed. The second game was much of the same, although Secret had an even easier time imposing their will and getting the "W".

Opposite them, we have Vici Gaming, a team that also continues to impress every time they step foot on stage. After their superior showing at the ONE Esports Invitational in Singapore, they continued to style on their opposition (although they did have a couple of fumbles here and there). Whenever they fight to the best of their ability it’s like watching a well-oiled machine march through any obstacle standing in its way. Their biggest virtue is their cohesion -- the whole team is always on the same page and they have no problem in standing strong regardless of opponent. The fact that they're so flexible in the current meta is yet another reason why they've been able to dominate with such ease.

Despite this, only one of them will be able to immediately secure their spot in the Grand Finals. The loser will have to go through the Lower Bracket in order to get another shot. It's not do or die by any means, but both teams want to secure a spot in the finals as quickly as possible.

Both of these teams are standing shoulder to shoulder talent and performance-wise, but we simply have to side with Team Secret on this one. They already won against Vici just a couple of days ago and have seemed more confident and consistent throughout the tournament as well. Regardless of the final outcome, both teams will fight for every inch of the map in order to attain even the slightest of advantage. Either way, expect fireworks from the moment they spawn.
