Toronto Defiant vs Washington Justice

Yet another exceptionally interesting match-up between two surprisingly solid contenders: Washington Justice vs. Toronto Defiant might not be the most exciting skirmish on paper, but it is nonetheless proof that looks can be deceiving!

They are, without a doubt, two highly capable challengers and they both have all the right tools to compete for a spot near the very top of the standings. Washington, however, has the edge with three wins and zero losses, paired with an equally impressive +6 map differential. Toronto, not one to be outdone, isn't trailing much behind with two wins and no losses, and a somewhat less exemplary +3 map differential.

All of that said, it's important to highlight that neither of the two faced the stiffest of opposition. Heck, we're putting it mildly here. Both teams fought against Vancouver Titans, for instance, which is essentially a free win. The same goes for Boston Uprising whom Washington disposed of with relative ease. So, naturally, these records and win-loss tallies might seem impressive on paper, but they don't tell the whole tale. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Still, we know that they're talented and capable of trading blows with the best teams in the Overwatch League. They're not exactly predicted to win out all that often, but at least they'll make things competitive (if not even entertaining). Most folks have high hopes for this Washington line-up and there's a good reason why that's the case -- they're packed to the gills with talent and should, in theory, be able to retain their position in the standings (or at the very least hover near the top). Toronto, on the other hand, isn't nearly as potent or promising in potential, but they're still a feisty bunch with a puncher's chance and should not be underestimated.

Washington will be their first true test, and it'll be interesting to see how well they'll do, now that they're scheduled to face a team that is stacked with firepower (comparatively speaking, given whom Toronto had to face up to this point). In any case, matches like these matter immensely because they invariably provide us with much-needed information -- intel we use on the daily whenever we're tasked with making any sort of prediction.

Washington are favored but this will probably be a lot closer than most people expect, so make sure to tune in!
