Team Vitality vs compLexity Gaming

Veto predictions: Complexity ban Nuke, Vitality ban Train, Complexity pick Dust 2, Vitality pick Inferno, Complexity ban Overpass, Vitality ban Vertigo, Mirage is decider.

For Complexity to have a chance at winning this match they must win their map pick. Vitality will get to pick either Nuke or Inferno and I consider both as basically free maps. Complexity has struggled on Inferno (currently sitting at 0% win rate) and looked lost on Nuke when they played Cloud9 early in January. Its difficult to say what Complexity will choose as their map but I do think their best course of action is to stick to their strengths. Picking Vertigo is an option, but their play style is no longer a mystery to the world. Also, it’s not like they can counter-strat Vitality as they have also only play one official match on the map.

The Complexity hype is circulating through the community, but I can’t see them doing what they did against Astralis to Vitality. BlameF mentioned in a post-game interview that they had been prepping heavily for Astralis but not as much work had gone into the other teams. Not only that, but the trick is out of the bag now that Complexity knows how to play Vertigo. The odds on Vitality seem too high to not pick them.
